“Peripheral” Musical at Newport NewWorks Festival
Sarah is writing additional material to the book of Peripheral, a new musical by Mark Aaron James.
Peripheral imagines the lives and stories that exist on the fringes of famous photographs.
In its inaugural season, Newport NewWorks will feature Peripheral as one of its two workshopped musicals. Public readings are held August 15 and 16, 2025, location TBD.
Bright Lights Playwriting Cohort Presents “Dead Girls Club” Reading
Sarah was selected to be in the inaugural Bright Lights! Playwriting Cohort with Ghostlight Theatre company.
Through the support of Ghostlight Theatre, Sarah’s play Dead Girls Club will have a workshop and public staged reading on August 25, 2025 at New York City Center Studios.

Upcoming: “The Odyssey” Adaptation
Sarah has been commissioned for a second year in a row to adapt a cultural class for young actors and all-ages audiences.
The Odyssey: A Girl’s Journey Home is based on the timeless legend as told by Homer, but for modern audiences and all ages. Twelve-year-old Olivia is trying to get home from sleep-away camp, so that she and her best friend Penelope can start having the best summer ever. However, the famous monsters of Greek mythology make Olivia’s journey a coming of age challenge she will never forget.
Performances will be December 13 - 15, 2025.
“I’m Saving You a Seat” Runner Up at Urbanite Theater’s Modern Works Festival
Sarah’s play I’m Saving You a Seat was runner-up at Urbanite Theatre’s Modern Works Festival in Sarasota in September of 2024.
Directed by Meg Gilbert, the staged reading featured the talents of Sarah Elizabeth Grace, Laura Parker, and Sam Osheroff.
Audiences were moved by the honest, funny, and touching character-driven story, many remarking at the talkback about how much they identified or learned in the characters’ recoveries.

“Alice in Wonderland” Presented at Brooklyn Music School
For once Sarah has written a play for all ages!
The children at Brooklyn Music School performed Sarah’s brand-new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventure’s in Wonderland December 12 - 14, 2024.
Sarah’s Alice in Wonderland is a faithful adaptation of the book told through a modern lens, with all the favorite characters and reinvigorated with a contemporary perspective. Alice is a neurodivergent girl who struggles with social cues, and falling into the rabbit holes gives her a crash course on balancing self-acceptance and self improvement. Come for the Tea Party, stay for the life lessons!
“Dead Girls Club” Presented at Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival
After several years of submissions, Sarah’s Detroit-based true crime play Dead Girls Club was presented at the Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival in May of 2024.
The reading of Dead Girls Club and other amazing programming, including a seminar led by Sarah, was held at the Dobbins Conservatory of Theatre and Dance on the River Campus of Southeast Missouri State University from May 26 - June 1 of 2024.
